Today I had a very special session with my client who's owner has given me the kindest permission to share with you all. ❤️ A bit of back story...
This longstanding equine client has recently moved to a different yard towards the end of last year and initially settled well, having his routine massage appointments with me still. He then started suffering with a little anxiety which has been getting progressively worse over the past few months.
Having covered all bases with nutrition, bodywork, supplements, vet and routine, his owner called me to do a routine massage appointment on him, but asked if I could also connect with him through animal communication as she was a little perplexed to what was going on.
He just didn't seem to be able to fully relax in the stable, always wanting to be outside of the big American style barn and his digestion was suffering. He would constantly need to have his head over the door looking out and just generally wound up.
Cut a long story short, my appointment with him a month ago came round and I noticed how wound up inside the stable he was. During the massage, I am able to tune in and connect to him using energy, and ask him if he could show me what was worrying him. Suddenly I felt really claustrophobic, and had a picture of a cave in my head. The barn became a cave. He felt he was at the end of a very dark tunnel like cave and the only thing that helped was having his head over the door so that he could see the exit.
After thanking him, I finished the session and messaged the owner the findings and we chatted about a solution. I suggested that he be moved to a stable alot closer to the exit in the barn if possible as I feel this would help.
In just a week afterwards, his owner had already noticed a difference and not only musculoskeletally, but because he released all that built up tension emotionally and physically, even though he hadn't yet been moved as we were waiting for a stable to come free.
Today's Session.
So I arrived at the yard and was Massaging another client of mine in the same barn for the first hour. During this time, I could hear the odd reaction coming from his area of the further part of the barn. He’s a gentle, kind soul but he loves routine, which had slipped today due to my visit and he’s not adverse to creating a little trouble for effect! (he has still not moved stable, this is happening next week)
Having arrived at the stable, he was very eager to get out. His owner kindly trotted him up as usual prior to massage and we had a little catch up on the goings on. He had improved with his anxious spells, but still not 100% and she had some more questions.
He had made it more obvious since my last appointment that he doesn't like being enclosed. He’s stressed about being shut in, he’s always on the wrong side of a gate, doors or when being shut in the indoor school to work. So his owner would like me to find out anything about this.
To begin with he wanted to leave the stable, only standing still with his head over the door. I began the massage and placing my hands on him and gradually got up to his head area. This is when he brought his head over to me and all went quiet. We connected on that deeper level, and I tuned into his energy. I asked him why he didn't like doors and being shut in, and he showed me a clear picture of a horse lorry with very loud dogs, shut in, and feeling very claustrophobic and alone. It terrified him. I described this lorry to his owner, his owner confirmed that some time ago he had previously been a hunt horse and often travelled with the hounds to meets in a horse box that matched what he showed me.
He instantly released as soon as I told her, his eyes went heavy, head lowered, body softened and he stayed like this for the duration. I also let him know he would be moving stable next week, to help with the transition.
I continued the massage and during this time, the horse tied up outside the stable next door, completely tuned into the energy too and then let out a massive full body stretch release. The energy was incredible. The owner of the horse tied up outside allowed him to stay there, soaking up what was needed and has booked him a session with me!
I will update you all on how the stable move goes. ❤️
